Why do you ride?

I ride for fun, transportation, and exercise.  My ride to work is very short, but I may add in a quick joy ride on my way to or from work, or pick up some groceries on my way home.

What kind of bicycle do you ride?

I ride a commuter bike with a comfy seat.

What do you carry with you when you ride and how do you carry it?

When I bike to work, I am usually bringing my lunch or dinner.  I carry groceries on my bike, library books, or my contribution to the potluck.

Where do you ride most often?

I ride around downtown Manchester most often.  On the weekends, we occasionally go for a ride on the Seacoast.

Do you ride year round?

I tend to put my bike away once it gets really cold and the snow comes.

What’s your favorite riding experience in Manchester?

I am not sure that I have a favorite.  I’ve enjoyed some group rides. I also like that I can ride to Goffstown on the rail trail or a quick evening ride to go and sit by Lake Massabesic.

What city bike rack do you use most often?

Market Basket (arg!)

At what locations would you like to see bike racks that don’t currently have them?

I would like to see bike racks all over Elm Street, including the Brady Sullivan Plaza, City Hall, Verizon Arena, City Cafe and Studio 550. We need bike racks in the Mill Yard.  Especially by Strange Brew, Milly’s Tap Room, Mill One Apartments, UNH Manchester. We need all of the libraries to have bike racks, and education institutions, plus grocery stores like A Market, Farm and Flower, and the soon open Manchester Food Coop.  I could use one at my local credit union.
