Why do you ride?

I started riding for fun then raced in college. Now I ride for fun, fitness, and just getting around the city.

What kind of bicycle do you ride?

I am embarrassed at the collection I have amassed over the years. My city machine is a 2004 Cannondale Cyclocross fitted with fenders, panniers, and a sweet dent in the top tube.

What do you carry with you when you ride and how do you carry it?

I like to be prepared so pretty much as much as I can stuff in the panniers and still get them closed. The commuter kit usually includes: shoes, lunch, laptop, books, CO2, tubes, tools, lights, rain covers.

Where do you ride most often?

Commute from Youngsville to office in Bedford or school in Millyard. Fun rides are usually mountain biking on the FOMBA trails via the Rockingham Recreational Trail, not bad for a city backyard.

Do you ride year round?

Yes, but only mountain biking for fun when it gets too cold or sloppy in the winter.

What’s your favorite riding experience in Manchester?

Making it to work cruising down Hanover Hill just as fast as I can drive there.

What city bike rack do you use most often?

Tie: UNH Manchester, Catholic Medical Center, and East Side Plaza.

At what locations would you like to see bike racks that don’t currently have them?

Better distribution along Elm St.
